Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF)
HAF 2026 is back this year!
What is the HAF programme? – Education and Families (devon.gov.uk)
At Apple Tree Farm, the HAF provision involves groups of 10 children, with SEND, working together in the day-to-day activities with our animals and environment.
Alongside this, we may commission external providers of activities or plan trips and outings with the children.
The farm’s term time activities and general expertise lie with supporting children with SEND. Our HAF offering is to prioritise children who are in receipt of benefits-related free school meals, PLUS have a SEND need.
Although the HAF Programme runs at Easter, Summer, and Winter, we are only running the Easter and Summer programme this year. We will offer 4 and 8 days of provision respectively.
We are delighted to be running the HAF Programme again this year for children aged 5–12 with SEND. For more information and to make your booking, see below.
“My son had the BEST time his first visit and first time leaving me happily to try something new!! So incredibly thankful. He’s asked to visit again please!”
“My daughter had the best time yesterday thank you so much and she is very space obsessed at the moment so the moon pictures were a lovely addition.”
“V is still telling me all about your two little lambs born on Saturday”
The Holiday Activities and Food Programme (HAF) has been expanded to cover all of England, and the programme has run at Apple Tree Farm for many years.
This holiday provision is for school-aged children from reception to year 11 (inclusive) who receive benefits-related free school meals.
Benefits-related free school meals (FSM) are available to pupils if their parents are in receipt of one of the qualifying benefits. To check if your child is eligible to apply for the programme, please visit this page Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme – Education and Families (devon.gov.uk) for more information.
