Care Farm in North Devon
You may have noticed that there have been some ses You may have noticed that there have been some sessions cancelled or times altered lately. This is due to ongoing, longer term staff sicknesses. We are doing our utmost to minimise disruption to the children's sessions but wanted to make you aware in case your children have been affected, or will be affected. Please bear with us while we navigate this tricky situation. We hope to have all of our wonderful staff back with us very soon, fit and well. 🥰

🌿 A little update from the farm… We wanted to be 🌿 A little update from the farm… We wanted to be open with our families and supporters that things are a little stretched behind the scenes at the moment. Several members of our team are currently off sick, which has left the farm operating with significantly reduced staffing. Those who are here have been working incredibly hard to keep everything running safely and to continue providing the care and consistency our children and young people need. The truth is, we’re tired. We’re a small team, and after a very busy period, we’re feeling pretty burnt out and exhausted. Brenda will also be away from the farm for a few days while she undergoes a medical procedure and takes some necessary time to recover. Over the coming days, this may mean that responses to emails and messages take a little longer than usual, some plans may need to change at short notice, and we may need to prioritise essential provision and safeguarding above everything else. Please bear with us while we look after our team and get everyone back on their feet. If we need to make any changes that directly affect your child’s provision, we will contact you individually as soon as possible. We care enormously about what we do, but we also know that we cannot provide the calm, safe and nurturing environment our young people deserve without taking care of the people who provide it. Starting off we have Lyn, our CBT Counsellor in for our #nationallotterycommunityfund therapy sessions. Not afraid to defend his girls against dogs, cats or humans. Sounds great, doesn’t it? However he is also a fierce lover and he is hurting his girls, so he needs a much larger number of girls than we can offer him. Can anyone help?
