Hello and Welcome to
Apple Tree Farm Services CIC

Animal-Assisted Therapy
At Apple Tree Farm we use our animals in encouraging and engaging sessions which we tailor specifically to meet each individual’s needs. Our sessions can be as short or as long as you like, we can take the alpacas through an obstacle course, or just for a short stroll, we can feed the sheep. You can cuddle our two friendly dogs and whisper your troubles away to them or collect the eggs from the chickens and ducks on your tiptoes or using both hands. In other words we offer a safe and comfortable environment to encourage individuals to show their full potential and reach it!
Breeders In Devon
Sheep
Ouessants are lovely little sheep and ideal for novice sheep keepers. One of the smallest naturally occurring breeds, they require less land than other sheep and also adapt well to their surroundings, making them the perfect pet for anyone who has land – from a large garden to a small-holding. They’ve earnt fame as excellent living lawn mowers and suit many situations, from holiday venues, petting zoos and country parks to residential homes and schools. They are non-aggressive, not at all timid and make wonderful additions to any smallholding.

Alpacas
Here at Apple Tree Farm we love our herd of beautiful pet and breeding alpacas and they bring smiles to all our visitors’ faces too. Alpacas are herd animals, the smallest members of the camelid family, which includes llamas and camels. They were domesticated in South America countries some 6,000 years ago and, coming from the Andes, they are very hardy creatures. There are two types, the Huacaya and the Suri, the only difference between them being the way their fleece grows.

Our Vision
It is our goal to provide a safe and therapeutic environment where children can flourish and blossom in the company of our animals. We aim to provide our users with an opportunity to succeed, achieve and be the best that they can be whilst using farming practices and the countryside.
What We Do
At Apple Tree Farm we wholeheartedly believe in nurturing individuals to find their strength whilst respecting their vulnerabilities. Here we use nature and our animals to encourage individuals with varying degrees of disabilities to overcome their vulnerabilities and achieve.
How We Do It
We currently run our smallholding in North Devon as a care farm, using our facilities and animals to provide children and young adults with disabilities with the opportunity to enjoy the therapeutic aspects of farming. We are still a working site where we breed and sell our alpacas and Ouessant sheep.
