Richard Tice has really outdone himself this time, Richard Tice has really outdone himself this time, calling the situation where children are wearing ear defenders in schools “insane.” We usually steer clear of political squabbles, but when it comes to our children’s needs, we won’t sit back. Seriously, Richard? If you keep talking like that, we might need to start outfitting our donkeys, and ourselves, with ear defenders just to drown you out! It’s baffling that he’s suggesting we should ignore the needs of neurodiverse kids and ditch the labels. Because clearly, pretending there’s no issue makes everything better, right? The National Autistic Society has set the record straight, saying that the idea of “overdiagnosis” is just plain wrong. And while Tice is busy lamenting the costs of annual EHCP reviews, councils are facing a looming SEND debt of £17.8 billion by 2029. Maybe instead of whining about costs, he should focus on fixing the actual crisis at hand. We’d strongly suggest he starts with his own lack of understanding. #nationalautisticsociety #specialneedseducation

Today’s mission? A deep, deep clean of the yard area! 🧼💪 This creates the ideal environment for the ducks, who were happily yapping away at the extra mud created, and it’s also the perfect chance to put our waterproofs through their biannual survival test—because there’s no better “ready for winter” test than sitting in puddles while dodging actual work. But let’s be real, some of us are just sitting on the job. Huge thanks to Jack and Ellie from JRN Contractors for their unwavering support and help, and for providing the newborn baby to be cuddled. 💕 She is an absolute beauty and we can’t wait to see her bossing around the fields in her own tractor in about five minutes time. 🚜

The Unit Award Scheme (UAS) allows all children to engage with learning and have their achievements formally recognised. Learners are rewarded with a certificate each time they successfully complete a unit of learning. They can build up a portfolio of certificates to evidence their skills, knowledge and experience.
